During my recent trip to Haiti, Ali Treloar organized the building of Frantznel's house in partnership with Nene and a Haitian contractor. The entire process took a week and was completely amazing to watch.
On Monday, the foundation was dug. Notice the little slice of Caribbean Ocean in the top right of the photo.
On Tuesday, Nene bought the supplies in Cabaret.
On Wednesday, they started building. There was a large crew of men working long hours to build this home.
By Thursday, they had the outer walls nearly done and had started putting the finish on the interior walls.
Here is a photo of the two houses side by side. His old tent structure on the right and the new concrete home on the right.
By Sunday, the home was complete. Ready for them to move in. The porch will be used to sell groceries and as a well lit place for Frantznel to sew. They were very happy with the completed home.
Frantznel and his family have a new home. Thank you to each one who contributed to make this dream possible.
