Charles and his family have an opportunity to own their home! In June, The Denim Project partnered with Charles to raise $2500 toward a piece of land on which a house can be built.
The owner of the land agreed to hold the land if we could send down $1250.00 US as security and then raise the rest of the funds over a period of time. The landowner has been incredibly patient and waited through most of the summer for the down payment.
We are excited to share the news that the first half of the funding has been raised. They've met with the landowner and the paperwork is in process. Charles and Magdala are very excited to see the fruition of their dreams.
AND not only has the initial $1250.00 been raised, but another $550 has come in to help meet our goal. We only need $700 more to make the final payment on the land. Your tax deductible donation of $25, $50, $100, or more will go directly to a home of their own for Charles.

Charles has worked hard to raise his contribution towards his home and is very grateful to each one who has contributed to his dream. Help us provide Charles with a home of their own today.
Charles and Magdala:
Charles has worked as a translator for a number of organizations since returning to Haiti in 2008 including Samaritan's Purse and Touch of Hope Haiti. He has been a valuable member of the Denim Project Team since February of 2016. Charles is our on site manager. He coordinates work between our Haitian and American teams.
Magdala maintains the Denim House, cooks for our teams, and cares for their four year old daughter Kesha.
Their consistent time at the Denim house has taken us to the next level in keeping families together through job creation and education. We are so excited to be a part of this exciting adventure for Charles' family.
